Cross Country

2021 Season

Attention all runners!!

1.You need to make sure you have everything you need for every practice. Clothes and sneakers you are comfortable to run in and water. If you use an inhaler or have an epi-pen, make sure you have it with you.

2. Please arrange a ride to and from practices. Late busses should start Thursday Sept. 23rd.

3. Please note, if you are NOT cleared by the nurse, you will NOT be able to participate.

We also have a google classroom set up. The code is:

Week of Sept 20th-24th

Monday 9/20: Practice until 3:45
Tuesday 9/21: Practice until 3:45
Wednesday 9/22: Practice until 3:45
Thursday 9/23: Home Meet vs Thorne @ 3:45 Bucks Mill Park

There are NO buses until Thursday 9/23. All runners will need their own ride to the practices until then. Please get picked up at 3:45. Once late busses start, they will leave the school at 4:00.

Our home meets are run at Bucks Mill Park.  We start the meets at 3:45. We usually finish between 4:30 and 4:45. Unfortunately, there is a shortage of busses in a lot of districts. Meets might start later, depending on the school we are running against.

For those who are competitive, we do offer the opportunity to compete in several events throughout the fall. The team aspect of cross-country is a great physical, mental, and social experience for all middle school athletes. While we encourage all participants to compete with the team, it is the students' choice. Those that do not compete can go to watch and help out at the meets. The Middle School Cross Country experience is designed for all students of all ability and fitness levels. We encourage walkers, joggers, and competitive runners to join Cross Country in the Fall. Students can create their own goals for what they want to get out of the program.
